Depending upon our clients' interests and our assessment of the claims at issue, we take cases to trial, resolve claims prior to trial or utilize mediation or arbitration.
The firm's complex construction and real estate litigation practice includes disputes involving large multi-building construction projects, construction defects, borrower/lender disputes, class actions, contracts for owners, contractors and subcontractors, mechanic's liens, the Miller Act (public project), as well as litigation for plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving commercial leases, sales contracts, joint ventures, option agreements, titles, easements, contested foreclosures, deeds of trust and loan agreements.
The firm has extensive experience with a wide variety of insurance litigation on behalf of both insurers and insureds, including cases involving life, disability, health benefits and the Employment Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 ("ERISA"). The firm also counsels clients regarding insurance coverage issues, and defends insureds under their contractor and professional liability insurance policies.
The firm's professional liability defense practice involves the defense of lawyers and law firms, and other professionals, faced with allegations of professional negligence or other forms of professional liability. The firm has experience in a wide variety of cases, often involving large and complicated factual scenarios and complex legal issues.
Our practice also includes complex contractual disputes, trademark and trade secret litigation, property tax disputes and matters before administrative and state licensing boards.
